The Reading Room @PivotDublin

I just love this idea!! As you know I am a book nerd so when I heard about this from my friend the rather excellent designer @miababino I had to check it out.

Pivot Dublin states that its aim is to celebrate design’s positive impact on our lives. It originally started out as Dublin’s bid to be designated World Design Capital 2014 which entailed putting together a comprehensive survey of the creative design work going on the city today.

Now they’re working on a new exhibition in Filmbase, Temple Bar, Re Think + Re Act, which will run from the 1st to the 8th March and will showcase all the great and often hidden creative work and design in Dublin. Throughout the week from 9-5 there are free discussions on various topics. For one of these exhibitions called The Reading Room they are calling on members of the public to lend them their favourite book. Your book will then be on display for the duration of the exhibition alongside a host of other selections.

Books can be dropped off, posted or couriered for the attention of Bob in Red&Grey Design, 32 Lennox Street, Portobello, Dublin 8. The exhibition will have invigilators for the week to mind the books. If you would like to lend your book please contact Bob Gray:bob@redandgreydesign.ie

Now the only question remains what book to choose……Graham Greene perhaps? If you have any ideas let me know!
